This is Psyclone at Six Flags Magic Mountain, a mirror image of the Coney Island Cyclone roller coaster. It opened in 1991 and was the first of the last two Dinn Corporation wooden roller coasters. It was a hit among teenagers and adults for a long time until 1994 when the Northridge earthquake damaged Psyclone. They were able to fix the ride, but it would never run the same again. It became unbearably rough and the ride became so slow by the use of trim brakes that the cart needed to have seventeen people on board in order to dispatch. It became so unpopular that it rarely had a line, this ment that the coaster would be SBNO for most of the day. In 2006, Magic Mountain held a survey to guests of what there favorite ride was. And Psyclone came in dead last, it was also ranked 178 out of 179 wooden rollercoasters in the world by coaster enthusiasts. Immediately after the survey, Magic Mountain anounced Pysclone's closure and was demolished along with Flashback. …
